1. Harrowing- An experience that is distressful.
Journal- She ran through the harrowing crooked maze that was the woods.]
2. Consuming- In this context it means taking over.
Journal- The scent could destroy a mans sense of smell, and the mold was consuming the walls.
3. Quiver- To tremble
Journal- Jamming Billy's lips started to quiver, and he reached up for his papas hand.
4. Sturdy- To stand firm
Journal- The door melted at it's hinges, but it still stood sturdy.
5. Shimmering- To shine or flash light
Journal- A shimmering light glared the eyes of the two gentlemen.
6. Proclamation- A statement or declaration about something.
Story- A befuddled look fell onto Joseph’s face at this proclamation.
7. Extravagant- To exceed reasonable limits or bounds
Story- “Wait that’s what you’re upset about”, I yelled, even though it might locate the extravagant customers that Joseph convinced me to stay away from by coming done here.
8. Disdain- Hatred for something
Story- In the short span of time that I had known him, he had slowly sinking lower, and lower into the depths of my disdain.
9. Tolerance- Your ability to withstand something.
Story- As my vision started to go I heard a thin line of annoyance and tolerance, “Well...whoops”.
10. horrifying- When an event shocks someone with your actions.
Story- He always brought up unnecessary, and horrifying stories about his relationships, interest, and work.
11. Befuddled- Synonym for confused
Story- A befuddled look fell onto Joseph’s face at this proclamation.
12. Annoyance- Something that irritates you
As my vision started to go I heard a thin line of annoyance and tolerance, “Well...whoops”.
13. Inevitable- Will happen for sure.
“You ever wonder if the cold, inevitable hand of death is coming for you today”?
14. Eerily- Strange or frightening
His eyes looked on, his mouth stayed on straight, and the small, but jagged scar above his left eye moved just enough to make it eerily noticeable.

Popping his knuckles, his glassy stare seemed to stop me in my in increasingly concerned tracks.

Journal- Jerome lay on the ground, the dark entity continued to approach Jerome.
18. Haunted- Possessed by supernatural forces.
Journal- I crawled along the haunted house, but the farther I got, the darker the room seemed.
19. Grizzly- Horrifying, and gory
Journal- A grizzly blob of corpses.
20. Wealthy- To have great wealth
Journal- My bail had been an extravagant amount, but luckily I came from a wealthy family.
21. reluctantly- To do so with hesitation
Story- The man reluctantly shook his head.
22. Hyperventilating- To rapidly, breathe abnormally
Story- Nicolette snapped back to reality, and was pushed back by the breath of the now hyperventilating Collins.
23. Rampant- to be unchecked
Story- The sun was bearing down which was unusual for Seattle, this particularly weather seemed to empower the people of the town to run rampant.
24. anomaly- something that is perplexing/odd
Story- Nicolette noted that the man was an anomaly of a person.
25. barrage- constantly being exposed for something
Story- “Your father thought wasting money would be unnecessary since we could handle it.” the driver replied his face hidden in a barrage of smoke.
26. sweeping- of wide range or scope
Journal- I was able to go from the mammoth smog housing of the cities, to the sweeping wildernesses of the country.

Journal- When I crawled out of my sanctuary I immediately noticed the deafening silence of the town.
